WMW track day at Talledega Gran Prix

Way of Way Motorworks has some open slots for a two day track event next weekend. David and I will be going for both days to help with instruction. We have been to this track a number of times and it is a lot of fun. If you are uncertain or have questions you would like to ask, don't hesitate to contact David or myself. There are a few spots open for MINI's (or possibly others) wanting to come play. This is listed as a track day, but there will be instructors to ride with Newbies, and even classroom instruction to hone your skills. This is a great track to get use to running on the track.

Run both days for $400 or one day for $250. There aren't too many spots open, so please register soon.

HOT HOT HOT but fun! A/C went out on Casper at the start of the trip. 84 degree air out of the vents kept the cabin at about 94. Since outdoor temp was 102 we felt marginally cooler with the windows rolled up. Got some a/c juice from the autoparts store in Alabama and got it going again.

Great time on the track. Coop even got track time and I was stunned at how well he did. He had the line and the speed by the third session. Not bad for a kid with a learner's permit. I held him to 3rd gear and he still managed 90MPH at the end of all three straights.

My Saturday student was Pam from the Atlanta area in a newerish Clubman. Automatic but still did well on the track. And Pam wasn't afraid to push the little pedal on the right.

Sunday student was Way's mechanic in a 4WD Audi TT. He likes drag racing and never did anything halfway related to road track. It was very interesting, to say the least.
