So Jennie and I went to her parents this last weekend and Jennie's dad and I got to painting. We painted my wheels, calipers and the chrome grill surrounds. Wheels got painted Duplicolor graphite, calipers got painted red with the G2 caliper paint system and the grill surrounds got painted what was called astro black from minspeed. I say called astro black because it doesn't really match my paint because its much more black than the blue tint in astro black, but it still looks pretty good. The painting went pretty well, with careful prep work and sanding. I found out that I'm a spray paint retard, but luckily her dad is pretty good at it. So I prepped the wheels and painted the calipers and he painted the rest. I think it all came out really well except for the nonmatching paint on the grill, but thats ok. I'm thinking about tinting the front and rear emblems with model window tint paint to give it a black chrome look, but I still haven't decided yet. So here's the pictures hope everyone enjoys!

Way to pimp yo MINI, dawg! All you need now is to color match the headlight surrounds, lose the orange turn signal in the headlight, and black out the reflectors on the wheel arches, and you'll have complete stealth MINI...

Ya know the whole stealth looks doesn't quite do it for me. I've seen it way too much that I would rather do a little something different. I also like the chrome, but I thought the grill surrounds were a little too much chrome on the front. And it was about time I do some show to add to my go mods, haha. Now all I need is a car show to show it off at.

The calipers were amazingly easy. The paint comes in a little can with a brush and paint hardener. Just pour the hardener in the can and mix. Do atleast 2 coats 15 minutes apart. The paint covered really well and stayed on the brush so I had to do minimal masking and barely needed it. The only hard part was not driving it for 2 days while everything dried and stuff, and now I have to be careful for the next 2 weeks until the wheels and calipers fully cure, other than that the calipers were easy. I would have probably messed up the wheels though, haha
