YOHO and welcome to our club and world. Now that you have the car, when can we help u start to make some mods!! The Wife is already scared cause everything I get I start mod'ing right away ... so I have been looking at exhaust and wheels right now. Trying to figure out the perfect exhaust to make it sound very similar to my sport bike! The wheels on my mini are not in perfect condition so I was thinking of replacing them with some nice blacked out rims... So any suggest would be greatly appreciated!!!! Also any inexpensive mods to increase performance are always appreciated as well!!!

Mods are fun on the Mini. If you have not heard, go to Northamerican Mini site NAM, see link at the forn of this site. They talk about mods for everything. Also links to go vendors for Mini. Rims, talk to folks at the meeting, we have some issues with rims on the lod mini, need shims etc. for non BMW rims. Best to go on to post a question on one of the other spots here or on NAM. Intake and exhaust are the 2 best places to start on mods. Intake is less expensive and can improve performance. I choose Dinan, but there are many out there just as good.

Welcome to the group. I know there are a lot of folks here who do their own mods or can help you. If there's something you don't want to tackle, feel free to give us a call at 938-3876. Thanks, Janis www.eurotechknoxville.com

Hey all. Like to say hi and give a not-so-quick intro.. At the moment I live in Canton, GA, but should be moving a little closer to everyone beginning of next year. (To Ellijay, Ga. Still not as far north as I want, but it's a slow process.) I have two MiNi's at the moment: - First, the first one I got is Moxie, a 2002 R50. She's been everywhere with me, and has 205k miles on her at the moment. She's still running great - needs a little work, which I'm knocking out slowly - and can keep up with an S through any curve. She has very little mods done to her - only notable ones are a Megan Exhaust and Yellow Koni's on front suspension.
- Second is Bo - QueenB knows Bo, as he's been around the neighborhood. A 1992 - er, 1972 - classic. Got him almost 2 years ago, and have been giving him a little needed TLC off and on. He's at 52k and also in great shape. I've been doing a little cosmetic work to him, he recently got his wheels & bumpers colored, and my plans are to have the rest f him looking spiff.
I like to do a lot of work on my own cars, but due to lack of tools and space, a lot of times I can't do the important stuff. In case the mileage on the R50 isn't a clue, I love driving, and this includes the flat areas - like western Oklahoma, eastern Colorado. (There IS more to motoring than curves!) The longest drive was from Atlanta to Colorado to Oregon, for no other reason than because I have never seen the Pacific Ocean. When I got there, I stood on the beach for about 5 minutes, got in, and headed back. Okay, I ramble. Cheers all. Mike.

Hey Mike! It will be great to see BO zipping around. Congrats on Moxie's large mileage.
FYI, classic meet up in our area (Townsend) next spring for the Mini 50. It's three days, I think, and will include the wedding of our own Miniacs, Travellering and Travellersgirl.

New member and owner. My name is Mark and I just picked up my 2009 Cooper S in Pure Silver a couple of weekends ago. It is a lot different that my previous car (07 Miata) but I think I like it. I live near Seymour and I look forward to meeting some local Mini owners. Here's a couple of pics.
