David VanO and I took off to Nashville dark and early Monday morning. My power steering pump failed yesterday, or at least kinda. We went to see Walk the Line in Knoxville and as I turned into the theatre I quickly realized I had no power steering. I actually parallel parked with lots of effort. When we came out everything seemed to work again, but, when I got home and pulled into the garage and shut the engine off, the power steering pump just kept running. Power steering worked fine with the key turned just far enough to unlock the steering column. I disconnected the battery over night.
VanO had his wear sensor for his brakes begin flashing so he knew he needed new brakes and we agreed to meet early and head to Nashville.
Got there at 7:30 Nashville time and after a few minutes they opened the doors and in we went. Lots of BMWs standing in line for work, and one other MINI from Illinois. Ryan wrote two service orders and we began killing time talking to the sales manager Roger Harrison about the new MINIs, and Jay Lilley, the parts manager.
At about 10:30 we were called to the service desk with complete jobs, new brakes for Dave and a new power steering pump for me. All warranty, no charge and with a smile on their face.
We waved good by to Josh and the sales staff and were home early in the afternoon after meeting Phil Wicks and Noree in Lebanon for lunch. Great day, good service, and thank God for good warranties.

Thank you for posting that. Normally the only posts made about service are when something is unsatisfactory. We need more posts like this on NAM.

This is Susan Jacques. I've always had really courteous, excellent service at Mini of Nashville. I had to go back once to get something re-fixed, and had a couple of warranty fixes, and the staff has been really nice each time. Plus you have a really, really good coffee machine...LOL.
