Since it's been cooler, I've been running without my air conditioner on, with the windows half down, car parked in the shade, moonroof popped, 55 mph at most, and I'm getting (according to my little computer) ~35 mpg.
I topped off my tank yesterday, 5 gallons, and it cost me $17. While I was filling up, my gaze wandered over to the other 7 bays at the Ingle's, and all the cars were twice the size of the MINI.
Wonder how often they have to fill up?

I feel sorry for some of those who only have a large SUV to drive. It is nice to be driving a MINI at this time. I can even drive a Mini as it cools off to use even less gas. Plus I have reined in my leadfootitis during regular driving to conserve also.

YOHO I found that with the Dinan upgrades the mileage went up with the horses. Especially on the interstate in cruise control. Ian found out how much better Catherine's car does with the AC off, she gets 29-30 where he gets 33. The automatic eats up quit a bit gas to get the power to the wheels. Glad I was out of town and the car parked for the bad times. I was using a rental and the cutomer paid for the gas. $4 a gallon in Toronto. Bill G.

Yuck!! We have been stuck for two weeks driving the Land Yacht, i.e. Suburban. 15.9 MPG from home to work. MCS with Dinan equipment has been averaging well over 30, and like Mellow Yellow says, even more on the interstate. I often times have seen 40 mpg between here and Nashville at 75 mph.
$60 a week hurts, especially when you have been accustomed to $20. Just really glad I don't have a HEMI! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
