So why is the forum moving exactly? Is there a way for us to keep our post counts and our "stars?"
Are the old posts still going to be available in some sort of archives on the new forum, as it might be a helpful tool?
In my opinoin, I think our board is sorta dead anyways, and don't see the point of making a new board.

So why is the forum moving exactly? Is there a way for us to keep our post counts and our "stars?" Are the old posts still going to be available in some sort of archives on the new forum, as it might be a helpful tool? In my opinoin, I think our board is sorta dead anyways, and don't see the point of making a new board. We are creating a updated and centralized system for the new domain. Consolidating the forum and website is the first step. The old forum in reality was not fully under the control of the club. The old posts that have relevant information is being copied to the new forum in archived PDF forms. As to keeping your posting counts , I just figured out how to carry over your totals so no one with a lot of post losses their ratings. Posting will be locked to this old site soon, but access to the data will still be possible and links will be setup. The main point in doing all this upgrading is to make our club information: Manageable, Up to date, Modern and accessible. Since the old Forum was (as you say dead) we need to create an environment so we can grow as a club. This will not happen over night and will need everyone's on going input and use to work. Using the website for a source of information and navigation fills one void and the forum under our control fills the other. Thanks for registering on your new forum!

I think we need more discussion of the advantages and disadvantages before we make a permanent change. I am not sure I see the need.

I agree with the need to grow the club. There is nothing wrong with changing the message board. We also need to figure out ways to increase involvement.

Thanks for the info bearcat!!
I agree with Donna, I think we should talk about this at the next meeting to see if this is someting the club wants or even needs.
