I went to see Robert Berry Friday and pick up some oil, and he wanted me to let you all know that he would like to host another tech day at his shop. For those of you who are new or didn't go, we had a tech day in October at his shop. We probably had 10+ people there and a few MINIs getting worked on. I changed my oil and brake pads, and Mike changed his pads and rotors for everyone to see. My mods were checked out and I talked with some people about my car and we had a pretty good time. This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty, see some mods close up and maybe find out how to maintain, repair or upgrade your MINI. I am thinking about having Robert help me change the timing chain tensioner on mine as it has the cold start rattle many people are having in the 07 and newer MINIs and it would be a chance to see how its done if you are having the same problem. There are always spots for other types of work, and we would like to maybe see 2 or 3 different things done that will benefit everyone. If you just want to come and see some MINIs and some mods and hang out thats great too. Also, if you have never been to Roberts shop or met him its a good chance to meet a good man that loves our little cars. This is all pretty tentative still and I'm sure it would need to be a Saturday morning again, so really its just whenever we want and I'll work it out with Robert. So lets hear some interest and maybe what needs to be done, so let me know and we will get the ball rolling. Classic minis are of course more than welcome especially if you need anything done or want to show other owners how to do some stuff.
