So does this mean you decided to go to ST instead of getting a couch?

Who needs a couch you only sit on it when not travelering. Besides ST = more fun. I guess I will see you and Allen there. I am planning on driving 129 down most of the way no interstate unless I just have to.

We decided just to use his old worn out couch for the time being and I am using my graduation money to fund Alan's portion of the trip. So I am never going to let him forget that I bankrolled Spring Thing!!
I think we are going to do the interstate until Macon, where we are going to stop for the night and then do back roads the rest of the way down. Hopefully we will get the new interior for the mini so it won't be as loud and I won't be as deaf by the time we get back!
We finally got our apartment and plan to move in on March 15 (coincidently our 4th anniversary) so at some point we are going to have to have a mini party at our new place.

I must point out that this is a mini party in name only. If anyone acts like one and leaks oil on the carpet, the party's over...

No! They are too short because I have a project I'm behind on at work. ;D
Have a safe trip, enjoy yourself and take lots of pictures. I hope you have good weather.

I feel like the days are just dragging out, it feels like it should be Thursday. Only 2 more days til we hit the road as well. Don't worry Alan has wiped his memory card for the camera so he can at least take 500 pictures at the Thing, and u know he wil take more than that. We will update on Flikr so keep an eye out. Hopefully we can make it all the way there without an issue!!!

Well made it there and back. I had a good time despite the cold I had forgot to leave at home. I drove U.S. 441 to 129 all the way back. Long trip but very nice ride through the country. The twisties in the GA mountains were great. Has any one ever done those. While you are going up hill you have two lanes ( three total) so if the traffic is not heavy you can go reaaly wide befor cutting the corners. Great fun. One problem I found, since I had my surgery my lower right leg gets this incrdible muscle pain after a few hours of driving and the only thing I can do to relieve it is stopo get out and walk on it. This of course slows down travel times having to stop every hour or so. I may have to turn the S&S into a left hand drive to see if it alleiviates the pain. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you had fun. Wish we could have gone. On you leg pain, no help here. Casey and I drove back from ATL on Saturday through Ducktown and Turtletown on 68. That was a fun run. I've also done 129 from Knoxville to Gainesville, GA.
