Howdy, Name's Alan Rigby, college student extraordinaire, and I have almost all the parts to make a 1966 Morris Mini Minor Traveller. Just lacking lug nuts and assembly time. First club activity was driving the poker run, what a blast. I've gotta say, a new Cooper S is a bit too fast for me at the mo. I need a bit of time to adjust to cars that readily move forwards at the press of the throttle. My trusty rusty SAAB has forgotten which pedal does what....

We are glad you and your navigator came along for some fun Alan. Just can't wait until you can bring the classic Mini. I guess you can't either.

Hello allen as you could see the addition of another classic would not be shuned. These are a good group of people who like all Minis. Unlike some of the people on those other boards.

;D Well, I finally joined the group but I am currently MINI-less. I've had a passion for the new generation MINI from the first publication I read about it. It really got under my skin when I saw my first one in Charleston, SC in 2003...I was hooked. Well, the new convertible came out and it set a deeper hook in me. But the final straw was the new Hot Orange color with the blue and orange interior option with the navy convertible top.....I never have to look further for my dream car. As an Auburn fan, this is MY car....even have the personalized plate picked out when it becomes mine....TGRCOOP! One day, I'll have this beauty but until then, I've joined the site to keep up on all stuff MINI and enjoy reading about this wonderful vehicle.

Hello. My name is Phil T and I live in Largo Florida. I have owned a '74 Mini Mayfair for a little over a year and a half. I attended the Dragon run this year, and I am planning to go with a group from Sunshineminis.org on November 10th -14th this fall. I hope to be able to make a SMM meeting or activity if my schedule allows. I hope to see some of you at the next Springthing in the St.Augustine/Jacksonville area next year. Phil

Hi! I'm Vince Pack and I live in Seneca, SC (near Clemson). I have a "73" Rover Mini 1275 (carb) that I've been working on for a few years. Not really a restoration project as much as a serious "fixer upper". The car came over in a container in 2001. It's gone from a yet undetermined (but seriously ugly) blue, to Olde English White / Black. Most of the rust was replaced with metal. The interior has been blacked out and new front seats installed. The suspension has been totally reworked with rear camber brackets, rose jointed adjustable bottom arms, heavy duty adjustable tie rods, alloy front subframe mounts, HiLos, SRacer green "race" springs, and Gaz adjustable dampers. I autocross the car as well as drive it almost daily. It's been a really satisfying project most of the time. Tonight I moved the coil from the cylinder head to the firewall and I've apparently wired something up wrong, so I don't know where that will lead - probably my mechanic! Electrical stuff gets me every time! Oh well, the car needed a break anyway. My tires are completely shot after our trip to "Tail of the Dragon" yesterday! I look forward to meeting you all - hopefully with a mobile car on new tires! Vince
